The Quintassential is perched high on a hilltop occupying an acre of hilltop, 1200 feet above sea level, overlooking the market town of Loule, totally fenced and accessed via electric gates 15 minutes from Faro International Airport and the coast and a 5 minute drive north of market town of Loule. The Quintassential is an idyllic holiday destination for those who enjoy the tranquillity of a rural setting yet still wish to maintain easy access to Loule and the rest of the Algarve.

The Quintassential Holiday Apartments are four luxurious self catering apartment cottages located in an old renovated farmhouse known in Portugal as a “Quinta” in the central Algarve, Portugal offering accommodation from 2 to 13 people.

The Quintassential is open all year round so that guests can enjoy the 3000 hours of sunshine the Algarve has to offer. We understand that with low cost airlines it may be better to travel on days other than Sunday or Thursday, so we are flexible with our arrival and departure days. The apartment cottages can be let individually or together for larger travelling parties.

The owners occupy the fifth accommodation at the Quintassential and are always willing to assist with any problems that may arise, happy to share their local knowledge of the area, or a personal recommendation of the local eateries or information about the local wine and cuisine. Their promise to their guests is that they will never infringe on guest privacy of those who simply wish to relax by the lovely swimming pool, that is also heated from 1st October until 30th April to make your swim more enjoyable, unwind in the free standing outdoor hot tub spa jacuzzi or read a book on their shaded terraces overlooking the gardens. This all adds to the relaxed, tranquil style that is the Quintassential and the meaning of Quintassential? “The perfect example of class or quality” our name says it all.

Parts of the Quinta date back to mid 19th Century and have all been sympathetically enhanced during the past couple of years. All the apartment cottages at the Quintassential have their own kitchens, private south-facing sun terraces, brick Bar-B-Q areas and private entrances so you can come and go as you please. All the apartment cottages have been newly decorated and furnished to a very high standard and our attention to detail has been thorough with your comfort always in mind. Two of the apartments now also have the added benefit of gas central heating for the winter months.

OUTSIDE

The Quintassential is blessed with panoramic sea views and spectacular countryside views, just what you need for a tranquil and relaxing holiday. The gardens at Quintassential are marvellous with many bushes, plants and fruit trees, along with quiet areas to relax and absorb the views.  Only seeing the gardens is believing.

The Quintassential has a large pool area, the pool measures 10 x 5 m and cushioned sun loungers, and parasols etc are provided for the use of the guests. The Quintassential now also boasts at the pool area its own hot tub spa Jacuzzi for guest use.  The pool is heated during the cooler months from 1st October until 30th April and there is no additional charge for heating the pool.

There is also a children’s play area with swings, slide, see-saw all amidst an orange grove. For those who have a little more energy, there is an outdoor games area with a professional sized table tennis table available for guest use along with table football (foosball), an exercise bike and as of summer 2009 a giant outdoor chess set.

LEMON and CAROB COTTAGES

The Lemon and Carob Cottages are the newer apartment cottages at the Quintassential, light and airy one bedroom accommodations with a large bedroom that has a double bed, 21 inch TV (UK free to view Satellite TV) with DVD player, digital security safe and patio doors leading onto the sun terrace. The bedrooms are large enough to also accommodate a cot/single bed as well or this can be used in the lounge area of a night time. The bathrooms have new luxury bathrooms with shower, washbasin with vanity units under, WC, bidet and shaver point.

The spacious lounge/diner is decorated tastefully with pine and cane furniture and has a large comfy leather sofa, 36 inch widescreen TV in the Lemon Cottage and a 28 inch widescreen TV in the Carob Cottage, Satellite TV (UK free to view channels), video recorder (small selection of videos available), DVD player (small selection of DVD’s available), radio/CD player (guests to bring own CDs), the Carob Cottage has an MP3 reader, puzzles, chess set, playing cards, Domino set and patio doors leading onto a private terrace with tables, chairs, parasol, brick Bar-B-Q’s, reclining chairs and the Lemon Cottage has it’s own lemon tree to give you added shade.

The brand new modern kitchenettes comprise of fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, mini electric oven, electric kettle, toaster, mini electric oven, filter coffee machine, electric hand held blender and electric hob.

Both the Lemon and the Carob Cottage sleep a maximum of 3 people in each and these cottages have gas central heating included in the price for the cooler winter evenings.

ORANGE COTTAGE

The Orange Cottage is the largest of the apartment cottages at Quintassential, a large two bedroom rustic cottage decorated in typical Algarvian décor of white washed walls and with a brand new fully fitted modern kitchen including an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, filter coffee machine, hand held electric blender and toaster.  

The Lounge/diner is tastefully decorated and has a comfy leather three piece suite, 36 inch widescreen TV, Satellite TV (UK free to view channels), DVD (small selection of DVD’s available) video player (small selection of videos available) and radio/CD player (guests to bring own CDs), a selection of books, puzzles, chess set, playing cards, ceiling fan and the Orange Cottage boasts an original 19th century fireplace that now houses the wood-burning stove. This is a beautiful feature during the cooler winter months making the cottage very cosy. Double doors lead on to the very large private terrace with it's own table and chairs, brick Bar-B-Q area and reclining chairs.

The bathroom has a new luxury double walk-in shower, washbasin, WC, bidet and sloping wooden ceiling. The Orange Cottage bedrooms consist of one double bed and one twin bed both with sloping wooden ceilings. There is also a digital security safe in the cottage.

The Orange Cottage sleeps a maximum of 4 adults and an infant.

EXTRAS

On arrival the owners will meet you and awaiting your arrival will be a very generous welcome hamper in your accommodation compliments of the house for those guests staying a week or longer.  For all the adult guests, bathrobes are provided for use during their stay, pool towels are provided to use only at the Quintassential and the apartment cottages have hairdryers, alarm clocks, irons and ironing boards.  Guests will need to bring their own beach towels.  There is a laundry service available for guests staying at the Quintassential for a small additional charge payable locally.

The Quintassential Cottages are non-smoking cottages and car hire is essential.

Prices from 1st November until 31st March include heating. The Lemon and Carob Cottages have gas central heating and the Orange and Casa do Forno Cottage in the form of oil filled radiators.
